Our new series, Barmy Tales, is already being developed by us at Barmy Productions. Each 50 minute episode of the new series will be a unique one-off story and we hope to include, among the six episode first series, an episode by the winner of our script competition.

Barmy Productions was founded to keep alive traditional 'old fashioned' British comedy. Our inspiration comes from classics like Hancock's Half Hour, Steptoe and Son, through to Rising Damp, Are you Being Served? and Allo Allo. For our new Barmy Tales series of radio and podcast comedy we are looking to find scripts that marry the style of 'old fashioned' comedy with the weird and the quirky. Do you remember the ITV series, Tales of the Unexpected?' Barmy Tales is essentially that show, but comedic.

We are keen for the series to have a diverse range of styles so feel free to allow your creativity a free rein. We hope you are keen to enter and we look forward to reading your script!
